Link Peer Manager crashes

Updated to the latest version of Link, and have had to reinstall twice, since stops working. And twice, also, this warning has appeared.

Any cure known?

Re: Link Peer Manager crashes

Hey turdusturdus,

Thanks for the question.

What version of Windows are you currently running?  Do you have any security software installed?  Did the previous versions of BlackBerry Link work okay?  Do you get that message immediately when you try to access BlackBerry Link or does it appear when you connect your BlackBerry 10 smartphone?

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.

Re: Link Peer Manager crashes

Windows 7 X64. Ordinary MS security, nothing else.

Might have had something to do with having wireless connection activated, which I have turned off.

The previous version of Link had no apparent problems. The latest version is what produced the error messages.

Tons of HD space, but reinstalling caused the C: drive at one stage to give zero bytes remaining. That suddenly disappeared and the normal space returned (80% of a terabyte drive is vacant when things are normal).

Hope that helps!

Re: Link Peer Manager crashes

Thanks for the reply turdusturdus,

I would suggest uninstalling BlackBerry Link completely and then restart the computer and login with a new Admin user account and install BlackBerry Link from www.blackberry.com/desktop and then restart the computer one last time.

Then login with the new user account and try to use BlackBerry Link.  Let me know if the same issue happens on the new account.  If you have no issue, switch back to your old account and try to use BlackBerry Link.

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.

Re: Link Peer Manager crashes

Installed Link on another computer: an almost identical HP XW 8200, 16GB, terabytes disc, slightly different video cards; downloaded Link as requested.

Ensured wireless was NOT activated. No problems so far! And, currently, the problem has not reappeared on the original.

I'm having the same problem. I did not have this problem until the new BB Link installation. The odd thing is that I will have my laptop on all day and will get this message out of nowhere after about eight hours or so. Note I did not even use Link today and I got this message.

I have the only account on my laptop and of course I'm the administrator.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit Professional.
