Link crashes

I've installed Blackberry Link, un-installed, re-installed countless times. Once I attempt to open it, it crashes. The logo of Blackberry Link appears, the Windows notifies me it has crashed. I am running Windows 7, service pack 1, 64bit. Any advice? This is frustrating now :smileysad:

Re: Link crashes

Hey ryankidd17,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

Is there anyway you can provide a screenshot of the windows error so I can investigate further.  Did you have any previous versions of BlackBerry Desktop Software installed on the computer?

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.

Re: Link crashes

Thank you for a response.

I am unsure how to upload a picture to this forum. Basically, the black rectangle with BlackBerry Link on it appears, 5 seconds after, a window stating 'BlackBerry Link has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem."

I did have the Desktop Manager for my Bold 9930, however, I uninstalled that. I have already completed a DNS flush, uninstalled and removed various programs, and re-installed Link a few times.

Re: Link crashes

Thanks for the prompt reply ryankidd17,

Thanks for the photos as well.

I would suggest disabling your start-up items and then restart the computer and then try to access BlackBerry Link.  To disable the start-up items, go to start>run and type msconfig.  Click on the startup tab and click on disable all.

Please note:  You can enable these later on.

Proceed with restarting the computer and then try to access BlackBerry Link and let me know if it loads or if you get the same result.

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.

Re: Link crashes

Thanks for the prompt reply ryankidd17.

I will need to get logs to further investigate this issue.  I would suggest contacting your network service provider and ask to be transferred to BlackBerry to create a ticket so we can get the BlackBerry and BlackBerry Link logs.

I appreciate your patience.

Cheers.
