Shutdown Error

I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong forum...

 

I'm getting the following error when trying to shut down Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit:

 

nginx.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application.

 

The "nginx.exe" application is located in the following folder:

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\nginx

 

What is "nginx.exe" for?

The only reference I can quickly find:

  • KB34794 BlackBerry Link Internet connectivity

While it's discussing LINK rather than the Desktop software, perhaps the usage is the same. I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

I couldn't tell nginx.exe was for because it's in the "Common Files" subfolder, but it looks like it's part of Link. I've been having a lot of problems, and BlackBerry had me install Link, alongside Desktop.

 

Can someone move this to the Link forum, or should I start a new thread over there?

You are in the Link forum. This is nginx........     http://nginx.com/      It is used by Link

 

Why did BlackBerry tell you to install Link ?        Are you still having this issue ?
