Since upgrading to Windows 8.1, I tried to upgraded to the newer version of Blackberry link, but upon doing so, it crashes.
I've tried to go back to a prior verison of Blackberry link, but it continues to crash also.
What do I need to do to install Blackberry link. Wanting to upgraded my Z10 software, but will not attempt to do so without being able to backup my phone.

Using Windows Search and searching EVERYWHERE find and delete all "blackberry" files then try to install again.
You can BACKUP your phone here also: http://worldwide.blackberry.com/ap/protect/ read this.
You can enable BlackBerry Protect here: Settings, BlackBerry Protect, Location Services must be turned ON !

Tried it. It tried to reinstall but failed.
I tried to install the newer version that just came out, version 126.96.36.199 I worked for a while until it said to reboot, after rebooting, it continues to crash again.

The utility does not show BB Link as an option, therefore it does nothing.
I do get the following error message when trying to install the software:
"There is a problem starting C:\Users\Space\AppData\Local\Temp|CT3306061\plugin
The specified module could not be found"
At the top of the error box, it shows "RunDLL"

TBverifier.dll can be a legit file or it could be Malware. Run your virus program if nothing is found use the link below to install it.
There are two way to install it, click the + sign beside "How to install TBverifier.dll to see them.
I suggest you use the "Using the zip file" but it is your choice, please read all carefully !

The DLL fix app didn't fix anything.
I downloaded CCcleaner and went into the startup group and removed any mention of TBverifier, that seemed to fix that problem.
Now I am getting the:fatal error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (ndis.sys).
I went to the Realtek site and downloaded the newest driver and installed it, but still crashing and giving the same error message.
Was going to roll back to Win8 but found out that's not a option since upgrading to Win8.1

Are you using any 3rd party firewall or are you using Kaspersky, try disabling or removing.

I uninstall Kaspersky 2013 and installed Blackberry Link. It worked!!!!!
But now I will have to buy Kaspersky 2014 since the 2013 version is not compatable with win8.1
I am temporary running the free 1 month version of Kaspersky 2014 for now.
Thanks for all the help.
