Hi and Welcome to the Community!

That's the first report of that error I've seen for Link...but here is the KB for it from prior Desktop Software versions. Perhaps the same resolution steps will work for you:

  • KB03490 Internal Error 2738. Could not access VBscript appears when installing BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Good luck!

Hi! I recently purchased the z10 and downloaded the Link software off the Blackberry website. got "not a valid Win32 application" error on my Windows 7 laptop and on my Windows Vista pc at the office. Going through the KB you suggested now, will see if that works... :smileysad:

Me again... Registering the VBScript file made no difference, so now downloading the 144mb Link Software again to see if the file was corrupt... Will update later!

Found the solution! Yippeee! U need to move the Blackberry Link Software Installation file to a flashdrive and then install it from there. Seems that the program doesnt like being on the drive that it is being installed to. Give it a try and hope you come right. Mine is working perfectly now... Thanks

I have the same problem but moving the file to a memory stick did not make a difference for me.
