Is the media you're wanting to sync on your 9700 media card?

Are your contacts on the phone itself or sim card? Make sure you copy them to the phone itself from the sim card. Then connect it to your computer using Blackberry Link - do not use Desktop software. It should give you and incompatible device warning and then an option to transfer to bb10.

yes exactly, in which i did the transfer at first, it tells you what it transfered as well, but on that list, contacts did not exist. Also for the medias i figured a way, copy paste it to your desktop from old device, then drag all to dropbox and once in drop box you can move it to the photo/video folder. I cant believe i have to manually do this.
back to the contacts part, its NOT in the sim card i know this because when i search contacts on my sim card theres only like 6 contacts there in which i saved those a long time ago so the rest of the contacts are on phone. and they dont get transfered over some reason, the text messages did though but thats not important..

Try a SIM Contact Sync and see if that makes a difference.
Go to menu - setup - sim contacts sync

I just transfered all my contacts manually.. took a long time.. thanks blackberry...as i was doing this i also found no way of adding more than 1 phone number to the same contact. for example home and work, come on blackberry, really?

Yea, that's the way it works. One number per name in SIM entries. That's not a BlackBerry limitation, its a SIM card limitation.
