"Blackberry Smartphone" Driver fails to load.

Just trying to transfer from my 9900 to my new Z10, but I am having oodles of issues.

9900 connects to link OK and does it's side of the transfer OK.

Prompted to connect new device (z10) and do so. "Blackberry Smartphone" driver has a red X beside it in the driver software installation window, and "BlackBerry Device" is "Ready to USe".

Even with the failed driver load the device pops up in Link with the right name, but I get the following error:

===============

Data could not be copied to your device due to the following errors:

- There could have been a problem with the device or connection during the restore. Verify that the device is turned on and connected.

Please help, I want to play with De Zed!

Re: "Blackberry Smartphone" Driver fails to load.

Hey drewread,

Thanks for the question.

Are you using BlackBerry Link on the PC or Mac?

Does any of the data from the BlackBerry Bold 9900 appear on the BlackBerry Z10?  Or are you just missing certain databases like contacts?

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.

Re: "Blackberry Smartphone" Driver fails to load.

Hi,
I had the same problem (Windows7) and I noticed that the missing driver installation was done during the process of restoring my z10 to factory defaults (after a reboot of the z10).
Maybe a z10 reboot without "restore" is also sufficient?
Hope this helps^^

Running Liink on Windows 7 x64

None of the data transfers to the Z10 at all.
