I have downloaded and installed BDS / Mobile Fusion. Picked up a new Playbook to run some tests.
If I add my corporate (exchange) email through the Native Client on the Playbook, it works fine.
If I setup an email profile (using the same settings as above) in Mobile Fusion, I am prompted for a password on my device, but it fails to testing.
My work folder is created, Blackberry balance is added, but the work email does not work.
Has anyone else run into these issues?

I'm having the same issue this is very bizzare.
I guess they are still hammering out issues with this software.

I'm also having this issue.
I can activate the Playbook, push apps, etc., but the BDS email profile doesn't seem to work.
I get the error:
Service is temporarily unavailable for (Description - name@domain.com). [Error Code: 403])
And on the Accounts homescreen it says:
Not connected - Account invalid
But indeed, when I manually add the Exchange account on the Playbook, it works fine.
Did any of you got this working yet?

Is your email profile attempting to use SSL or not?
There is an issue with the current version of Playbook OS where if an email profile that doesn't require SSL is pushed to a device it still tries to connect using port 443 instead of 80.
KB for this can now be found at: KB32887

Hi,
Thanks for your reply!
And yes, my email profile is attempting SSL, but this is required by the server, so using port 80 won't work anyway.
Just for the fun of it, I tried it, but then I get this weird error:
Your PlayBook is connected to a network, but the Internet service is not available. Check your network settings.
I did have a working internet connection though.
When I try to reconnect to port 443, I still get this error:
Service for account (Description - name@domain.com) is not available. Contact your system administrator to regain access. [Error Code: 403]
Is there a difference in the data flow when you connect the Playbook directly to the ActiveSync server in stead of through the BDS?

If you push an email policy with BDS the data flow can go through the Blackberry network back through the MDS service on the BDS server. This is how we have it working in our test environment as our ActiveSync isn't even available to the Internet. Not sure how it would decide to connect across the Internet or through MDS. Could be based on the domain name of the Activesync host name. Try specifying a host name that the BDS server can access.
