I have BDS and BMF installed on the same virtual server. BDS sees the playbook as an attached device and I start to associate to a user. It's says its activating device for about a minute then errors with the message, "The Blackberry Administration Service was unable to connect to the device that is connected to your computer." I've tried this from multiple pc's and have turned Windows Firewall off on the pc's and the BDS/BMF server.

If you're running PlayBook OS version 2.0.0 please upgrade to 2.0.1 and try the activation with Web Desktop Manager again. Here's the release notice with directions on upgrading: http://blogs.blackberry.com/2012/04/playbook-os-2-

Did the BB Device Communications Components software get installed? If no, did you run IE as an administrator? We also had luck activiating on a PC not connected to the AD domain.

Yes the BB DCC is installed on the BDS server. Tried running IE as an administrator logged on as a domain administrator, have also tried as a local administrator, and have also tried from a new non-domain pc.
