Hi all,. does anyone know if the new email count can be updated whilst the workspace is locked? Otherwise how do you know you have a new email with out having to go into it?
Also is there a way to shortcut straigh to email rather than having to click email-profilename-inbox

Thank you for your question regarding Secure Work Space Notifications.
BlackBerry Work Connect Notification (BWCN) service is responsible for communicating with Exchange to provide new email notifications for Secure Work Space on iOS devices. The BWCN service communicates with Microsoft Exchange using Exchange Web Services (EWS) using a combination of basic and windows authentication to register for notifications of new email and send it along to the iOS device.
The below KB article will walk you through on how to enable this feature.
KB34664 - How to configure new email notifications for Secure Work Space on iOS devices
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi, thanks for responding, I have already gone through this article, the calendar appointments are appearing outside of the workspace (locked) but when I get new emails the number of new emails does not change (no notification), only if I open the workspace and it pulls down mail.

I just got an SWS CAL and am testing an Iphone 4.
Have you found a work-around for this posted issue?
So far, we have the same issue, lack of notifications for new work messages unless the 'work connect' app is unlocked.
The other issue that will prevent us from using it in our environment is the lack of ability to set a custom contact notification for emails within the work perimeter. For example, on-call staff who need a specific sound notification when email is received from a certain address.
