Hi All
Hope you can help with this...
I have had a BB 8120 since about April, not had any issues with it, upgraded to 4.5 about 8 weeks ago and all has been fine.
This weekend it has started eating my battery though, every time I go to use it the egg timer is spinning, even if I am just trying to press enter/my pearl to enter my password when unlocking it.
My free file space is: 17784564 bytes so I should have enough to use it.
I haven't been using the handset that much over the weekend, received no emails, sent maybe 10 SMS so it isn't as if I am overusing it and expecting too much from my battery.
I charged it last night to 100% and then went to bed. This morning it was switched off, totally flat. I charged it in the car to about 80% on the way to work and now, 5 hours (no received emails to the device although I have had some into my email client) and 2 SMS later and it is complaining of Low Battery, 10%
Any ideas what to do to fix it?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
Keith

Hi
Apart from the standard applications I only have facebook and MSN messenger installed, neither of which I have used much.
Today again I am still not receiving emails and I am not getting any facebook updates through either.
I have read on other forums that there is a tool that I could download to format my BlackBerry and then reinstall the software... Is this recommended??
Thanks

Backup your sensitive data.
Try JL_Cmder utility to wipe your device memory.
After wipe - download the RIM OS here
and install it on your PC. After that - connect device to PC, run Blackberry Desktop Software to install OS to device.
Restore your data back.

That seems to have done the trick!
Nice one, thanks for your help

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
See this KB:
Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the sending device. Do not skip the "Receive Using BT" step on the receiving BB...nothing will transfer if you do.
Good luck and let us know!
