8130 frustration

I own a 8130, I've had it for about 4 months and its my second one. Im having problems with the calendar and address book freezing. I take out the battery and it sometimes will temporarily fix the problem. I do the updates from my providers Blackberry website link. It was suggested I return the phone once AGAIN to my provider and they will send it back to RIM for analysis.  Blackberry is a great product but this is becoming frustrating and Im stuck with this phone for almost two years. Does anyone have any solutions??

I have windows XP.

When I click on the address book, the "personal" category is stuck on. My contacts are all just in the main part, not listed under personal or business, how do I get that main menu back?

Go to your address book > click on menu key > scroll down to FILTERS> uncheck anything in business or personal and that should take care of it and get you back to the main address book.

Thank you so much, man this thing was so annoying today. Its bad enough when it freezes but wow this was simple, thankx so much. Now that you figured out to solve that issue, do you have any magic cure to stop the calendar and address book from freezing? I do live in Canada and nope its not that cold to freeze my BB haha.

That is wonderful we solved 1/2 problems!!

 

What is your OS? 

 

Go to Options ICON > About > and on about the 3rd line down, it should say your OS.  it will say v4.something! 

 

Who is your carrier with?

 

 

We will see what we can do. If I can't help you, there are so many on here that are awesome! I am learning from them!

v4.3.0.97 is my os

 

My carrier is sasktel, a rockin provincial (saskatchewan) canadian company.
