My BB loads and the hour glass stays on the screen even when I'm not using my browser. Sometimes I have to wait to even make a call until it finishes loading. I called my provider and he told me to turn off Java script and that worked for awhile. When I phoned him again he told me to try turning it off and back on but no luck there ether. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance for your time! ![]()

Hi and welcome to the forums!
You are as low as you can go on free memory
Do this, and I will be back with some info.
No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON.
Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min.
Send back the numbers again, after the battery pull, OK?
Thanks

Hi,
You have low free memory left on your device. You have 0bytes free. 20mb would be considered OK.
Do you have a lot of third party applications on your BB weather, icall, bbalerts etc?
I do not know your experience level, so if you know this I'm sorry but please read and let me
know if this applies.
Most people close the applications by pressing the escape or red key. This does not close the applications.
Each application has a CLOSE option. For instance if you are in the calendar hit the menu key (spotted key) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and press close. Go into the browser press menu and options select cache operations clear all categories and hit escape it will say cleaning memory.
Go to options - security - memory cleaning - enable it. The BB will now clean memory when idle for 5 minutes.
you will have an icon on you screen for memory cleaning make sure you press it. Make sure you use the CLOSE button each time you are done with an application. Follow the procedures in the link below:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/mess
If you follow these steps and keep up with your memory your phone will operate smoothly.
Please let us know if you need help with any of the steps.
Thanks

How many applications do you have??
You only show roughly 4mb or free memory, the minimum on your device should be about 15mb.
If you have only 4mb on restart, you have very little left to do anything, I'm surprised you can
make a call!
Let us know if you need help with any of the steps in the other post to free up some memory. Try to
get to at lease 20mb if you can.
Boy, do you know how to get the MOST out of your Blackberry ![]()
Thanks

Goofy me, how do I move my pictures from my device memory to my media card?
Do I have to have the software I got with my phone installed on my PC in order to transfer all my pics from my cp to my PC or can I just use the USB cable I that came with my phone? The disc I received with my BB wont work with Vista apparently.
Thanx for all ur help. Yes ur rite I haven't had my BB long. It's like working with a PC for the computer illiterate like myself but I'm learning. Slowly but surely! lol Thank God for people like u!!

Not Goofy, new....BIG difference ![]()
Unfortunately you have to move the pictures one at a time. If you have them on your PC you can save time
by just deleting the ones in memory and copy from the PC to media card.
If not, select the picture, menu key, move up, media. Repeat as necessary! ![]()
You can plug the cable into the BB and into the PC, it will show up just like a flash drive, and you can
drag and drop your media to the CORRECT folders on the media card. You should have the following folders
on your media card:
Blackberry, Pictures, music, videos, ringtones, voicenotes.
As far as the desktop software, you need it to backup your data so if anything happens you won't lose all your
contacts, appointments etc. I'll make another post with the software and manual for you.
Be right back!
Thanks

Here's what you need for Vista:
Make sure you install the program with full ADMINISTER RIGHTS!
Install the correct USB drivers:
Blackberry USB and Modem Drivers ENG (DM4.6 B13)
Install and Coldboot the PC.
Download 4.6 without the Media manager here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code
Download manual here:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/deliverables/3606/Des
Install 4.6 with these Vista considerations:
1. Right-Click on Command Prompt in Start Menu and choose Run as Administrator 3. Then type in the command prompt, type: regsvr32 MsOutlookConnector.fil 4. If the registration is successful, the following message displays:
If you receive the error message DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005 - you do not have admin rights. So, it's important that you run command prompt as admin.

On the BB:
Pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min.
Configure DM and retry sync.
Let me know how it goes. Thanks |
