Hello gans,
If I understand correctly, your device will not turn on except for a red light in the top right when the battery is in and it is connected to a computer. Also, you were unable to start the device with another, known working, battery. Am I right about this?
If so, probably the operating system on the device is not working well, or the hardware of the device has failed. We can easily rule software out by trying the Web-Based Software loader tool to reload the software on the device using your computer. Bear in mind that at this point it is likely that your device data is gone and you will need to reload it from another source. If the software load doesn't work we might be looking at a hardware issue since another battery didn't help. It would be worth your while though to try the whole process on another computer if it fails on the first computer.
Here is an article on how to use the Web-Based software loader.
Here is how you restore your data to the device from a backup file
Here is how you back up your device in the future if needed
hope this helps ![]()

When you start up the Web-Based software loader does it see your device?
