Re: Camera problems

By default, all handheld software installed at <drive>:\program files>common files>research in motion>loader files>, or you can do a search for net_rim_BB_camera.  There should be a file located in your v4.2 folder and one in the v4.5 folder.

Re: Camera problems

Buddy, Relex and read my instruction again.  We are not downgrading the who core software but just replacing the camera file in v4.5 folder.  You still need both v4.2 and v4.2 folders and all the applications in both folders.  The only file we are replacing is the camera file only.

Re: Camera problems

Ok at long last I got the files copied, but when I go into BB DM it won't let me update the core files. I am running the newest version of DM, and when It searches for new updates it says none available. Where should I go from here

Re: Camera problems

In case you are going to lose anything, first go to backup your handset via Backup and Restore in DM

Then simply go to applicaiton loader > add & remove programs > next > and once you see the list of applcations > select Options > select all THREE options in there, ie backup & device data options.  Dm will then backup your data again, and wipe your device clean and reinstall the OS into your BB.

Re: Camera problems

Due to the GREAT help from you, I completed the file transfers! The camera still acted the same, so I guess the phone goes back. I appreciate the help. THANK YOU

Re: Camera problems

When using the still camera on my 8310 everything in the view finder is glowing pink. The phone is not accepting the picture. The video camera is fine. Since both cameras use the same lens I am puzzled. Is there some setting I dont know about or is my phone just screwed?
