Is there a way i can take the contacts from my yahoo address book or yahoo im and transfer them to my phone without doing it all manually

Yes, using Desktop Manager version 4.7, you can sync your Yahoo contacts with your BB.

I have the manager downloaded know what do i do to get the info moved from yahoo to my phone

Select the SYNC button, and do you see Yahoo! as one of the options to configure to? You will Outlook, Outlook Express, and you should see Yahoo as one.

I am using BB8310 with Desktop Software v4.3.0.17 running on a windows XP PC. I am trying to sync my Contacts from Yahoo Contacts to the BB Address Book via the USB connection since I don't use the BB for e-mail. I was able to do this once directly by picking the Yahoo option in the advanced menu of the select device application., and then doing a Synchronize Now. This worked for my database of ~20 contacts but there were lots of duplications with contacts already on my BB.

Based on this success I updated my Contacts on Yahoo to ~90, and deleted all the address book entries from the BB to have a clean start. Well now when ever I try again the sync hangs up and never completes. I even tried turning off virus s/w and firewall, but that did not seem to help. I also tried to do this as an ASCII export from Yahoo and import to BB, and although my CSV files looks OK to me:

"First","Middle","Last","Nickname","Email","Category",......

"Al","","Lowe","",alowe@xxxxxx.com,".... etc.

None of the contacts are read, and the log file has these messages:

Total Inputs From Second System:  88

Ideally I'd like to be able to do this sync directly with the Yahoo application, so if any can help with that, it would be great. I am willing to use the ASCII file export/import, but need some help with this. Noite that I also dowlonaded Intellisync for Yahoo, but that does not offer an option to sync with the BB.
