With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Give it 10 minutes after the reboot, and try again.

Worked for me, thanks! Learned about removing battery from another site, but didn't known about waiting 10 min and trying again. Did not work right after rebooting, but after waiting 10 min, it works now. Thanks! Saved me a trip to AT&T store.
