Can't update Apps through Appworld on desktop, getting message "Disable content protection"

Hello,

I've BB Pearl 9100 with OS 6.0.0.723. I'm trying to update/nstall the Apps through desktop but whenever I try to do that I receive a message "Content protection is enabled on the device, please disable it & retry.

But the content protection is disabled in Options -> Security -> Encryption (Device memory & Media card both are diabled for encryption). I've disabled all the options over there but still I'm getting this weird message which is not letting me update my Apps.

Please help !!

Thanks.

Try Resetting the BB by pulling the Battery or restore to factory settings
Try a battery pull first (Remove the battery with power on, and wait about 30 seconds and then place the battery back in the device) Then try to install from App World. If that does not fix it, try going through some of the steps below.

You will also need Admin rights on your PC (Windows 7) to install the plugin.
if not try this

Create a new user account in your PC with ADMIN Privilages and download the latest version of your favourite browser, Chrome or FireFox

Now go to this website
http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/

You should be prompted to download the PlugIn again.

Re: Can't update Apps through Appworld on desktop, getting message "Disable content protection"

I tried to degrade my system to earlier version but that didn't help as well. So thought of seeking help from BB forums which I got very quickly.

The solution provided worked for me by creating a new admin user on Windows 7.

Thank you so much !! I appreciate your help !!

Re: Can't update Apps through Appworld on desktop, getting message "Disable content protection"

I'm again facing the same problem, also tried the same steps as mentioned before (tried battery pull, reset to factory defaults, created new user a/c with admin. priv., wiped the phone etc....) but again it's showing the same error as I mentioned. Don't know why it's happening again.

Please help !!

Thanks.
