I have recently got myself a Blackberry 8220 to replace my old phone.  My partner, who is blind, currently has a Nokia phone with TALKS installed (it reads out what's on the screen for her).  Is there something similar for the 8220?

I have a couple of questions (I am checking on the Handango  site as well). Can someone use it for SMS?  Can it be used to manage someones phonebook?

I have e-mailed them.  I'll call it solved if I can get SMSs to be accessible.  Everything else seems to be there, though.

After an e-mail to Handango and a phone call to Voice on the Go, I've found out that you can send SMSs but not receive them (i.e. it won't read them out to the user).  Unfortunately that's enough to make it, at best, a partial solution.
