Hello,
I have just acquired a new BlackBerry 9100 (Pearl) in the USA, but I live in France.
All features work fine, except that I cannot receive any text messages (SMS).
Transmission of text works OK, but not the reception.
My provider (BOUYGUES TELECOM) told me that I have to insert a number (which he gave to me) into the “SMS Message Center”, but I cannot find it. This number would take care of the Text Message reception...
(Note: the 9100 is not sold in Europe, so the provider doesn't have the support documentation)
Does someone have any idea for it? Thank You

Some additional information, after i went to shop of my provider (Bouygues Telecom). They could not find anything wrong with the SIM card (changing the SIM card into another mobile worked OK). So, they have no idea.
Another thing that I have noticed is that the icon of my transmitted SMS when received by others (to my wife's BB) looks like a "mobile icon", while all the other SMS have the traditional "text" icon.

I was about to give up and surrender to another brand (iPhone or Samsung), but finally after 2 months, I've found a way to solve my issues (without really discovering what was the source of the problem).

The solution for me was to go through the "wipe" procedure that I've discovered at BB's FAQs (http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?
All applications, all emails, all contacts... all everything was deleted.
After that, not only the SMS issue was solved, but two other issues that popped-up in the meanwhile were also solved (1- my battery couldn't stand more than 5 hours; and 2- the phone processor was extremely slow).
I don't know what caused the problem, but I suppose that something in configuration wasn't correct + some kind of "intense" processing was slowing down the phone processor and, consequently, discharging the battery.
So now, I may try to solve other simpler issues that I have (I use 2 emails and my contacts and calendar entries are doubled or quadrupled), but this will be posted later on...
