Hey everyone,

I got a Pearl 3G from Telstra.  The original OS5 works fine with full chinese language support.  The problem apeared after I update to the leatest OS6 software.  The mobile now can display chinese perfectly including all menu, apps, and website, however it lost the input method PinYIn.  So currently it cannot being input any chinese characters.   I throught it maight be a bug in building the version of OS because I have tried some other carriers' OS6 with Eastern Asia language support they all have the same problem: Display well but no input method.

Could someone help me on solving this problem?

Be sure that you are using the proper OS package so as to include both display as well as input for your desired language.

Further, while rare, I have seen in the past some small differences between same exact OS level across different carriers. There may be some flaws in the included components for language support (e.g., one package included 6.x level language within the 6.x OS package while another package included 5.x language support in that same 6.x level package). You may need to continue trying different OS packages until you find one that provides the full support you require, even if that means using OS packages from other carriers.
