For the past day, my blackberry has been displaying a continuous hourglass.
I have read other threads on the same problem and have already tried the following:
Resetting the phone by taking out the battery while the phone is on
Reading about how to free up space on the pearl and have tried the following:
Moving files to media card, deleting all messages, removing unused applications, clearing browser caches
My File Free # was 13261773 Bytes and only increased to 13918657 Bytes
I am running out of things to try and my battery is being depleted completely in just 4 hours at a time.
I have also stopped receiving emails.
Please help.

I'm unsure whether this is the information you are looking for but it says Blackberry 8130 smartphone (CDMA) v4.3.0.65 (Platform 3.1.034)
Please tell me if this is what you're looking for and thanks for your reply.

13MB file free is not bad. It could be better. If yo've read all the links to help with your memory, you know what to do, ask if you need more.
You could consider upgrading the OS, as well.

Oh, and additionally for your emails not coming:
1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
2. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot
if still nothing...
3. resend your service books from your carrier BIS site.

I guess it must not be an issue with freeing up space then because even after doing all of that the hourglass is still there.
How do I go about upgrading the OS?
