Ok guys, I am the farthest thing from an IT professional so take it easy with the replies and pretend you are talking to a 3 year old! LOL
Anyway, I have been connected to our corporate enterprise service for almost a year and just recently in no particular time frame my outlook will dump already read and filed messages back into my inbox, no rhyme or reason, no particular emails or senders, not particular date - in fact I might get three from 1/1/09 and 10 dumped back in from 12/23/08 - some are even marked as un-read when I know for a fact they have been read!! It does not happen every time I reconcile either - its VERY random.....so I have had to walk the aisle of shame and IT has disconnected me from the server! ![]()
I rely heavily on being able to access my emails at all hours of the day and night (I am in insurance - dont say it, I already know! LOL) and cannot continue being disconnected and I also cannot deal with three weeks of random emails being dumped back into my inbox - it creates issues and a possible E&O for me and my company!
Our IT dept has contacted their Blackberry rep and noone seems to know what the heck is going on - they blame the phone and the ISP, however since I have been disconnected it has solved a separate issue, my Blackberry is not dumping emails and my call log anymore which was happening all the time and to be honest was the least of my worries considering I had 100's of emails being pulled back into my inbox on a regular basis.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can anyone help me!!??

Dumping (Your technical term) in this case meaning deleted?
Go to options, select status, send the file free and file total (if available) numbers.
I will check on your first problem with the mailbox.
You are on a BES network, is that right?
Thanks,

Thanks for holding back on the insurance jokes! LOL
Ok, basically....when I was connected to the server (and yes I believe we are using a BES network) my phone would not log my calls and would only hold about an hour's worth of emails and then they would disappear from my BB, but not my inbox in Outlook. It worked fine in the beginning when I was first connected (about a year ago) but towards the end a call would come in and if I wanted to call the person right back the call log did not even show that a call came in.
The main issue with being connected was on my desktop - when emails come in I address the issue and then file the email in whichever client folder it was in reference to. This way I can go back and find the email quickly if I need it later. But around the same time my phone started acting up the problem with my Outlook started. I would log onto my system, start up Outlook and without any rhyme or reason I may find that approx 2-3 weeks worth of emails that were already filed in clients folders or deleted would be back in my inbox!! Some were even marked as unread when I know that I had already addressed them! This was not only frustrating but dangerous as I may not remember if some were addressed and some were not because they would be mixed in with the other emails I left in my inbox to work on the next day.
There was no connection to which would be put back into my inbox - only some of the emails would be moved back in and they were not related to each other - there were maybe 3 emails from one week, 10 from another, etc and I could not see any similar words or actions taken on any of them - it was completely random and extremely frustrating (did I say that already? HA!)
Ok, now keep in mind I am no longer connected to the network so the following are the file free # and file total # now:
File free: 189592 Bytes
File Total: 64356352 Bytes
Thank you so much for trying to help me with this, to be honest we are implementing two new systems at work and I dont think my problem is ranking very high on our IT depts to-do list! lol

I'm having this same problem with a user. I've never seen this problem until recently, we've also recently deployed BES 5.0.
Our VP moves emails offline to other folders and once he connects back to the internet the messages show back up in the inbox, but they are also in the places where he filed them, 2 copies.
