No, seriously, is there anyone that is affiliated with Blackberry reading any of these posts?
I see numerous posts and problems and none of them are being addressed!
I posted days ago in need of assistance, and nothing!
Sad really, I was so excited to get a "Blackberry" a few months ago.....now it seems my out of date little Motorola was far more reliable. Never had any issue with it.
Now I'm stuck with a paper weight that has a fancy name.
Of the few replies I *have* seen, my favorite has to be "Try sticking a piece of paper in the back of your phone" LOL
Nice.....really great phone we all have eh? I should walk up to random Blackberry users..."Hi...do you have paper in your phone?"
"Hi there...I bet you have a business card holding your battery in! *high five*
What a crock.

Hello and Welcome to the Forums!
We are so sorry that you are having so many difficulties. While many experience the same (a search here will reveal that fact), there are also many who have very positive experiences with their BB. Not every device is suitable for everyone -- which IMHO is why there are so many choices.
In regards to your hope that RIM will see your message -- these forums are a user-to-user support channel, not a user-to-RIM conduit. As such, it is unlikely that they will see what you have written. Consequently, there is no one who "works" here -- those of us who spend lots of time do so as volunteers...trying as best we can amidst the rest of our daily lives to provide whatever assistance we can to others. When folks come around and say things like "I see numerous posts and problems and none of them are being addressed!" we might take a little bit of offense...especially since, on it's face, the statement is simply not true.
As to your post about which you mention that you've received no assistance...I recall the day I first saw it. Frankly, as a volunteer on these forums, it was hard for me to read past your opening line...it came across as someone who has zero desire to do any research on their own about their specific issue. There are volumes of information on these forums and a pretty good search tool to help with digging out what might be useful. But your unwillingness to even make that attempt did not make you come across, to me, as someone that I'd want to spend my precious few volunteer minutes on. But that's just my opinion. And I nevertheless did force myself to read the rest of your post...
However, I could not find much that I could help you with...I've never had that device in my hands and could not offer anything, so I remained silent on that thread. I might offer that others do indeed have knowledge that could help you...but I would suspect that many felt the same as I when reading your post...and were not motivated to help. So perhaps it's the manner in which you posted that is not resulting in offers of assistance. Perhaps.
Oh, and FWIW -- Front line support for BB's is, by contract, not provided by RIM. The carriers and authorized resellers are responsible for front line formal support to end users. It is possible to bypass your carrier and seek assistance direct from RIM, but such involves fees since you are bypassing your support agreement with your carrier. The "Support and Services" tab toward the top of these forum pages provide information about that. But, if you do go through your carrier for support, they can escalate into RIM at no fee to you if they so choose to.
Good luck!

Further, if you are the original poster (OP) and your issue is solved, please remember to (on the post that is the solution) click the "Accept as Solution" button so that others can more easily find it. Cheers! Oh...and FWIW...I am not a RIM employee...and these forums are user-to-user...not user-to-RIM.

In defense of the original poster, I don't think it unreasonable for a customer to expect that a forum on what I can only assume is RIM's own, official website would be administrated by RIM's own employees, not volunteers. I must admit, I'm a bit surprised by this as well.

I can appreciate that...however, reading the TOS will spell it all out clearly.

Please note, I have since responded to the OPs original problem.
As sdgardne stated, these are user to user forums and unfortunately, sometimes those of us who post miss some messages, or we might see them but are unclear of the problem at hand and are unable to assist.
What's really unfortunate is that the carrier (Rogers) was unable to help the original poster with their problem when they went to Rogers initially. This is a problem with carrier support and not BlackBerry support.
Its unfortunate that this mix up happened, but hopefully the original poster will be able to resolve their problem.
And given that the support provided on this forum is entirely volunteer, I would hope that people appreciate the effort that we do provide.
