Hi all

I have a problem in that my emails appear to delete themselves from my handset. I'm aiming to keep all emails, until the teh phone is full (and they "drop off" the end).

I have set the options/general options/keep messages to "forever" but I recently kept emails from 24-Jan and today they are not there any more.

Any assistance is appreciated

First thing? Check the File Free at Options > Status, what is the number at File Free?

Now, remove the battery of your device, hold a minute, replace and reboot.

What is the File Free now?

File free looks good, so its not a memory issue.

Do you also download your email to Outlook on your PC?

IF you are using Outlook to download your email to your desktop PC, Outlook is likely "deleting" mail from your email server when it downloads it to your PC.

There is a setting in Outlook to "Leave Messages on Server".

For MS Outlook 2003:
1. Outlook > Tools > Email accounts > View or Change existing > next.
2. Highlight the email account > Change > More Settings.
3. Advanced Tab > Leave a Copy Messages on Server
4. Check that box.

* You will need to perform this edit for each Outlook email account you have.

Other versions of Outlook have a similar setting although it might located in a slightly different location in the :advanced settings.
