Can anyone tell me if there is a way of increasing the number of rings before the phone switches to voicemail? At the moment, it rings about 4 times before switching!
Thanks

The number of rings before voice mail is a carrier issue. Call your carrier and ask them if they will increase yours.

I have now sorted it by talking to my mobile operator who gave me the code to extend the number of rings. ![]()

I'm glad you got it sorted out, but for others frequenting this thread in the future, the issue is not the number of rings, but rather the amount of time until voicemail.
Most all carriers have that time set to a default 15 seconds. You have two options to increase the amount of time before voicemail picks up, to a maximum of 30 seconds.
a) Call your carrier and ask that they increase the amount of time before voicemail to 30 seconds.
b) If you have a GSM based phone, some have had success by dialing this number from your phone:
**61*XXXXXXXXXXX**30#
- Replace XXXXXXXXXXX with the number of your carrier voice mail center (find it by looking at your Phone Dialer > Options > VoiceMail > Access Number. Put your access number in place of the Xs above.
For example, the T-Mobile voice mail access number is 18056377243, and thus the string to dial would be **61*18056377243**30#
- Replace the 30 at the end of the string with your desired seconds. For most carriers, 30 seconds is the longest allowed.

this may sound crazy - but if you want to change it back to the way it was - do I need to enter a different code?
