JVM 102/Reload Software 507 Error/Reload Software 561 Error on Blackberry Flip 8220

I am having some serious isssues reloading software onto this device.  I literally had it sitting inside of room, doing nothing for 2 years until one day I put the battery in and it powered on and gave me a JVM 102 error.  I tried to reload the software and recieved a fata error 0x0000005 and since then I have tried 3 different computers and 2 different micro usb cables and nothing has worked at all. Now I get a 0x0000024 error when I try to reload the OS.  I have tried wiping it with JL_Cmder and it seems to wipe fine.  I have tried BBSK and that didn't work either.  I don't think it's a hardware issue because I did nothing to cause it.  I have spent over 11 hours trying to restore this thing, and I am about ready to throw it against a wall.  If I can't get this fixed, I'm going to go straight to Android or WP7.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Does it matter whether I use the BB stock micro cable (I no longer have it) or an HTC HD2 micro usb cable?  I have tried a Samsung cable as well and none of them work. I don't understand why it would matter, although some people claim it does, but both cables have 5 pins on the end as far as I understand.  A usb micro cable is a cable is a cable is a cable.  Unless I'm missing something here?

The phone seems to be rebooting when I tried to load .cod files in the JVM stage of the install.  It's constantly restarting and loading up while I'm trying to flash stuff.

I'm out of ideas.  Anyone more experienced have any sugguestions?  I am an IT tech but new to BB so no need to dumb it down unless you are referring to something BB specific.

This is pretty much my last resort.

Thanks.

Re: JVM 102/Reload Software 507 Error/Reload Software 561 Error on Blackberry Flip 8220

Can you please make certain that your USB cable is connected to a main rear USB port, not a front PC port nor a USB hub?

Re: JVM 102\Reload Software Issues...

Here is the detailed error I keep getting:

The Application Loader could not connect to your Blackberry device.  Try the following actions:

1. Disconnect your device and wait 10 seconds

2. Turn off the Power Management settings on your computer from:

a. Control Panel > System

b. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager

c. Expand Univeral Serial Bus Controllers

d. Right-click on USB Root Hub and select Properties

e. Go to the Power Management tab

f. Select "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and click OK

3.  Connect your device directly to a USB port on your computer.  Do not use an intermediary device, including:

a. USB hub

b. USB extension cable

c. Laptop docking station

d. USB port in front of the computer

4. Click Retry

It's connected to a rear main usb port, IE back of motherboard.  I also tried to fix it with a stock blackberry micro usb and it didn't work then either.

Re: JVM 102/Reload Software 507 Error/Reload Software 561 Error on Blackberry Flip 8220

I have the same situation!!

Left BB8220 unused through winter and just now started using it or I should say wanting to use it.

I charged the BB and afterwards noticed the JUV error 102 .

Since then  I have done everything that has been mentioned !!

I am haviong trouble using the JL_Cmder , I have it installed but it doesn't open.

I have deleted the vendor xml, expanded the usb hubs and clicked off the power control,

Have downloaded os 5. and have 6. DM.

I have turned off the User Account Control.

I have went through loader through apploader with no success!!

I have also had BB tech support tell me after 2 hours of online sharing of computer screen that they could recommend me for a replacement of course 8220 BB was bought in 3/9/09.

No help there:smileysad:

I have ran the Apploader til I am sick. It will not finish installing the apps I have asked it to. The phone reboots(battery in or out) and the apploader returns to reconnecting to JVM!!!!

I have worked on this for 6 days now !!

I keep hearing about this wonderful JL_Cmder app that will fix nuked BBs but I downloaded it and unzipped it to find out that DOS doesnt recognize it as a command?

I don't know much about computer tech so I may be doing the download and installing of it wrong.

I have just about given up.

Then circle with the square and three shapes(circle square triangle)with reload software 507at bottom, are now inhabiting the face of my 8220 BB .

I guess thats enough ranting.

I would really appeciate some help as so do you!!!

If you find a way to raise up your BB  please let me know!!!

Thanks

LO
