I have the Pearl 8130. I check the file free area and shows 0. I pull the battery then open it up again with 4 million bytes or so. I close it and go back in then I have 3 millions bytes or so. I open an email, close it and go back to file free and it shows 200,000 bytes or so. Anything else I open zeros out the mormory completely then I get the hourglass and miss phone calls and so on......any ideas?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Give what you describe, it sounds like you have a ton of add-on apps installed and that many of them are storing their data in AppMemory rather than Device or Media Card memory (the app controls that capability). If you started with say 30MB and then dropped, my theory might be different...but not with what you describe. The only thing to do is remove apps that you aren't using and see if you can discover one cuplrit that is consuming so much. Otherwise, you've simply hit the limitation of your BB.
Good luck and let us know!
button inside of their post. Further, if you are the original poster (OP) and your issue is solved, please remember to (on the post that is the solution) click the "Accept as Solution" button so that others can more easily find it. Cheers! Oh...and FWIW...I am not a RIM employee...and these forums are user-to-user...not user-to-RIM.
