Multiple Errors, tried all fixes, nothing seems to work.

[ Edited ]

My phone was working perfectly and has been for the 2 months since I got it...

All the sudden I went to use it and there was a white screen with some kind of error that wouldn't do anything so I did the battery pop reset.

Now when it starts up it says Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException(looked it up, tried all fixes, none worked) and I also get the Application Registry.waitF or(**************) timeout and I had  Module 'net_rim_pdap_resources' not found error.

None of my music will play and when I start it up it now goes to a screen that says Blackberry Device Platform and lists everything instead of showing any icons or the homescreen.

I did a wipe hoping that would work and it didn't so now i've run out of options, can anyone help me?

Re: Multiple Errors, tried all fixes, nothing seems to work.

You will need to use JL_Cmder to wipe the device and subsequently load the OS to the device. Follow the instructions here:

http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_do_I_wipe_the_BlackBerry_using_Jl_Cmder%3F

If JL_Cmder does not work, follow this instructional:

Re: Multiple Errors, tried all fixes, nothing seems to work.

Is there anything else I can do or an easier way to achieve the wipe?

I'm using Vista 64 bit and the loader doesn't work at all, I ran as admin, etc, etc and tried the command prompt option but it says the system can not find the path specified.

Re: Multiple Errors, tried all fixes, nothing seems to work.

Sorry for the double post here but I'd like to say thank you for your help.

I was running late for work earlier and was not in the best of moods so I was rushing too fast and couldn't get anything to work, I just did everything you said and it appears to have worked out fine(waiting for reboot), thank you for the help.

It's not really relevent anymore but could anyone tell me how this happened to begin with?

I was using the phone, put it in my pocket and 2 hours later when I pulled it out, it was doing a white screen error (that I stupidly didn't take the time to look at) so I did the battery pop reset and it ended up like this.

Re: Multiple Errors, tried all fixes, nothing seems to work.

Hey, all is good, glad you got it working.

What happened? That's hard to say without the error from that white screen. It could have been a simple "no battery" error, a "Error 552 or 517" app error (caused by some rogue third party app or theme, not really sure.

And there might have been an easier method of "fixing" the device, having known the error.

Anyway, good luck.

Re: Multiple Errors, tried all fixes, nothing seems to work.

The error came back.....

It's JVM Error 545 Incompatible or corrupt filesystem.....

The only 2 things on this phone that are similar to it before are the game Teteris Mania and Deep Blue 2.0 theme that I use...

I did some lookin and the theme is made for the 8220 phone and mine is the 8230, not sure if it's the possible cause but before I reset my phone I came here to fine out what else could be causing this error before I fix it again just to have it break again.

I re-loaded the OS again, this time I didn't download anything, didn't do anything, just added a few contacts, and used the browser a bit, less then a week later I got the JVM 102 error....

3 strikes, this phone is out.... I'm going back to alltel in the morning and either getting a different phone and they're letting me out of my contract without the early termination fee because this is just rediculous, how could BB/RIM send out such crappy phones.
