My Pearl is dead : Please Help

Hi,

Last week , my pearl (8100)started behaving abnormally. It reboots by itself , red light blinks and  shows hour glass for a minute or two and then reboots again.

 

I have shown to a local cellphone repair dealer , who tried flushing the software and reloading...Nothing worked..he said it might have developed some hardware problem.

 

But ,Now condition has deteriorated and when I plug it to power to charge the battery, it is not charging and no red light blinking....no rebooting...it seems completely dead.....

 

Please help.

First you can download the Desktop Manager from here: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22. Next download the handheld software from here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

 

Afterwards try reloading the OS in one of 2 ways:

 

  1. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB03485
  2. http://blackberryfaq.net/index.php/How_do_I_wipe_the_BlackBerry_using_Jl_Cmder%3F
