Just switch to Simple Mobile Carrier. Talk and Text work out great but I can't use the Web which is included in the plan.
This is the message I got on my Blackberry Pearl 8100:
Unable to open a PDP Context to the following APN:
wap.voicestream.com
This may be happening because the currently selected Browser configuration is not compatible with the current network.
Called three times to the customer service and each time I got different instruction that I hardly understood. Hope someone can Help.
BTW, on my SETTING > ADVANCED OPTIONS > BROWSER is
Default browser configuration: t-zones
Default WAP Browser configuration t-zones

I don't see where they have Blackberry Data Plans. They sell "packages" (voice and text) and web access but no devices. Some "feature" phone could be used to access the web but not a Blackberry. A Blackberrry requires a Blackberry Data Plan which OMS Simple neither advertises or provides.
You took your Pearl to a "carrier" and I use that term loosely that is ill equipped to handle it. It does not offer what a BB requires.

I am also experiencing the same problem. When I spoke to a customer service rep they insured me that I would be able to use my internet on my blackberry because he himself was using their internet access/ service with a Blackberry storm form Verizon and . I'm not sure if using a blackberry from Verizon or tmobile makes a different but I am upset now because it cost extra an extra $10-$20.

Yes, I just switched over from AT&T to Simple Mobile (only a few days ago). There are no Blackberry native applications that will work on my blackberry due to the fact that via simple mobile, i do not have access to the RIM network. that is why you cannot use pop email on your phone.
I would imagine it has to do with the fact that Simple Mobile has not been able to do a partner deal with Blackberry.
Your default browser setting (t-zones) should default to whatever carrier you purchased your phone through (i think t-zones is the default name for the t-mobile browser). AT&T, on my phone, uses Web2Go and I cannot change that. But even if you were able, there are other TCP/IP advanced settings you would need to modify to access the RIM network and you can't do that if you want to use the Simple network. At least, I'm fairly certain of that.

You can use the internet on your blackberry but you have to download the Opera Mini browser and then using your blackberry desktop manager, install the browser onto your bberry. It's actually a pretty robust browser. My issue is that no native bberry apps other than that browser will work on the bberry plan that simple offers. give them time, they will get it together. now, with their unlimited data plan, they should be able to compete with boost mobile who is the only other carrier that I would consider going with. the only problem is that they use the sprint cdma network. it's actually a stronger domestic network than the gsm but you can't bring your own phone to boost. simple is the future of this crazy and overpriced cellular carrier market.
cheers.

Go to www.simplemobile.yolasite.com, it will tell you how to set up your browser

Divesheik is correct - see post below.
Just switched over to the Simple $50/mo plan and seems to be good coverage with Unlimited Talk, Text plus 100MB of data.
Once they get connected to RIM network it will be an untouchable deal... until then, no email.

I found a workaround for the whole no email on blackberry with simple mobile download a program called Logic Mail http://www.logicprobe.org/proj/logicmail and you now have email on your simple mobile blackberry
