Notification Profiles are not working correctly

For all messages (text, e-mail, phone) I am not getting notified with the correct method identified in my notification profile. All I get is the LED flashing.....no vibration or tone.  I have checked and double checked that my notification profile has been set correctly and have ran through the troubleshooting guide over and over and everything is set correctly---it's just not working!

 

I've verified that I have sound on my phone by listening to ring tones etc.

 

This is very frustrating and I hope someone can help me!

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.

 

Do this, first:  With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

 

Do your notifications work now?

yes, thank you it seems to be working correctly now.

 

Any idea why this happened and if there is a way to prevent it in the future?

It's just a glitch, there's probably no way to determine the "why", other than a thorough examination of your error log. If your ringtones are stored on a Media Card, there could have been some simple error there.

 

Either way, the hard reset of the battery pull fixes "most" glitches. Glad to hear yours is back working.

Hi I have this same problem! What I have been doing is turning off my blackberry and then Turning it back on. that seems to work but then when I wake up in the morning it is all messed up again and I have to reset it again. How can I fix this permanently? I'm sick of not getting notifications for texts until I turn it on and off.
