Hello.
I can't seem to get call display to work on the phone. Everytime someone calls, it says unknown number. Even if I have the person in my address book. I tried doing what the FAQ said to do but it still didn't work. Maybe I did something wrong. Can someone help please? Thank you!

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
There could be any one of three solutions... Try these:
1. Make sure you set your own country code at Phone Dialer Screen > Options > Smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+xx" where xx = your country code. Some countries have two or three digit Country Codes. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
* In the US, set this Country Code as "+1", and place your loca area code in the proper box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).
2. At the same location, change the National Number Length to the number of digits for your country (since some countries will have less than 10 as set as the default in the BB). Find out the total digits, minus the country code. Do not place the '+' in your contact's entry.
* For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (plus 3 for country code). You would enter "8".
3. You may have "Content Protection" set on your Address Book.
Look at Options > Security > General Settings. Scroll down to Content Protection > Include Address Book = NO.

Then something else is going on here.
Does this Unknown Number occur with EVERY call you receive, did I understand you correctly?

Yes. I've tried with three different phones. My house phone, and two other cell phone.
All the numbers come up as unknown number.

ok, so let's troubleshoot this.
1. Look at your Smart Dialing options. Please list here how you have yours set?
2. Look at the contacts for your home and your two cell phone friends. How do you have those numbers entered in the address book?
I don't need the actuall number, but is it +1(xxx)xxx-xxxx or how?

Okay. For the smart dialing options I have
Country code: +1
Area Code: 604
National Number Length : 10
Use "1" for National Dialing: Yes
(then there's the acess office extensions, I didn't touch that)
For the numbers. It's not +1(xxx)xxx-xxxx. It's just xxx-xxxx.
Oh, and I should add that when I click on the unknown number, it doesn't even show the number. It shows no information about the caller.

Put your area code in your numbers
i.e. xxx-xxx-xxxx

And you have content protection turned off, as stated above?
Maybe everyone is hiding from you?
