I have an unread email icon on my Blackberry 8100 that will not go away. I have tried marking all messages in my inbox as unread and then again as read, but the icon still indicates that I have 1 unread email. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
Thanks!

Went into the Messages icon, hit the menu button, and chose View Folder. I cleared out everything in all folders except for my email and text ones. Made sure that they were all marked as read. The icon remains...
Appreciate the help.

The Messages database on your phone may be corrupt. You can try clearing the Messages database. Just note that doing so will clear ALL messages from the device. To do this connect the BlackBerry to your computer and go into the Desktop Manager. In the Desktop Manager go into the Backup and Restore icon and hit the Advanced button. On the right hand hide you'll see the databases of the device. You can select the Messages database and hit the Clear button.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
From the main message queue do a search:
service=ALL SERVICES
folder: ALL FOLDERS
show: ONLY UNREAD
type=ALL
Thanks,

This helped me! I have a new Storm2 and have been looking at that email icon for 4 days. I had an unread message that I knew what it was and just saved it. Thanks again!
