I tried adding a number to my phonebook this morning and my phone froze, I had to take the battery out to unfreeze it

and when I retried it came up with an error message but I can't remember what exactly it said.

I have since noticed that I cannot even edit current contacts in my phonebook

Pllllleeeeease can someone help me????

I went to my local O2 shop today to tell them about this problem I'm having and they were not very helpful... apparently it is a software update that I need to do on the computer which I have been trying to do for the past hour and half with no luck).

the error message that comes up is:

Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (232) is not responding; process terminated

can anyone please help with this?

I'm having the same problem. I cannot add a new contact or edit an existing one... Can somebody help please?

I had to do a complete wipe of my blackberry to get this sorted apparently it could be something to do with one of the app's you have on the phone interfering with it?

you will need to back up all your stuff on your blackberry before considering doing a total wipe but if you want I can talk you through what I was told

Ok, uninstall windows messenger, gtalk or whatsapp. It seems that new upgrades from these applications came with a bug. It worked on my BB
