Brand new to the BlackBerry famiy and had my new Pearl for about a week, the only criticism I have so far is when the phone is set to Vibrate+Ring, it Vibrates for the set perios then Rings rather than doing both at the same time...is there anyway to get it to both at once or not?

Sorry to mention this option is not available in BlackBerry device. BlackBerry can have 3 options - Tone, Vibrate and Vibrate then Tone.

There is a 3rd Party Software that fixes that bug called Vibandring.

How can we call it as BUG? BlackBerry supports they types of notification...may be you wanted to say that above mentioned 3rd party application adds vib+ring together. Is it so?

Sorry. You are right!

I meant that it adds the function that it vibrates and rings at the same time. Some people like this feature, some users like it as it is.

I have just purchased this 3rd party software for 5$ and it works fine! I would just point out though that if anyone else downloads it, you need to set your profile to Tone only and then this sofware does the rest, I left the probile as vibrate+tone and nothing happened, I was scrathing my head for a few minutes. The software only vibrates once but for a period of time that is adjustable by you.

Put me in the category of people who expect vibe and ring to be just that - both vibe and ring at the same time, just like my Motorola Timeport did a few years back. I'd also like to have the V-mail notification chime every few minutes as well. The flashing light is ok but I'd like more notification.
