Reload Software 507

While updating thesoftware of my pearl 9105 via backberry desktop manager the following message appeared on the face of the phone Reload Software 507.

The updating process has paused on the computer and it has only completed task 2 of 11 (module 38 of 475)

What do I do ? It has been like this for the past 1 hour

Re: Reload Software 507

Error 507 simply means that no operating system was detected on the device.

You may need to cancel or abort the operation, and try again.

See the link below, for the download and simple installation instructions.

First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Re: Reload Software 507

during the upgrade there is a backup that was done.

you can remove the device from PC and reboot PC.

Then follow what JSanders posted to reload the OS.

Yes, disconnect from the USB to cancel the process if there is no cancel or abort button.

Re: Reload Software 507

As was mentioned above, hopefully the backup file was made and saved by the upgrade process.

Have you ever backed up in the past?

Search your entire PC, usually in the My Documents folder, for any *.ipd file, you will want to find the most recent.

Then, once your OS is loaded to the BlackBerry, use the Desktop Software > Tools > Restore Data, and navigate to find that most recent backup file.
