Rest mep counter

Hi, can anyone help me with a locked pear 9105. I decided to change my service provider and that's when things went wrong. I have the MEP code and when I inserted the new sim and went to put the mep code in it indicated that the counter was 0, I didn't even get a chance to put the code in once? How can I reset or unlock the phone.
Please use plain text.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Please see this helpful thread to start:

If you have used up all of your chances to enter the correct unlock code, there is nothing further you can do. Even if you happen to have now the correct code, it is useless. Only the factory can now (legally) unlock your BB. Typically, I've heard that the cost of having RIM do this for you will be greater than the cost of just buying a new one. But, you are able to ask them...see here:

Note, however, that this process will start with a fee...

If your BB was already MEP locked and you obtained it from a source that represented it as being able to be unlocked, then your recourse would be with the seller you obtained it from.

Good luck!

Re: Rest mep counter

Thank you for the message. I brought the phone from a major carrier and I have had nothing but problems getting help and I must admit the Blackberry company are even worse. How can they charge you with help unlocking a phone purchased from them. I would never buy any items from them again and would never recommend them ever...

Re: Rest mep counter

In that case you have a BIG argument with the major seller for selling you a used BlackBerry.

Your beef is not with BlackBerry.

Re: Rest mep counter

Thank you for the message... Yes I have a problem with 3 but also with Blackberry. How can a global company not have a customer support centre to call free of charge?? The product is good but service and support rubbish.

You can call BlackBerry free of charge.

Perhaps you misread.

Or, is it 3 you can't call free of charge, you're message is not clear.

We're back to where you started with Sdgardne in Message 2  above.

"...for a fee".

But the call is free, that is what you asked me.
