Start up problem

My blackberry Pearl 9105 is not able to start up with the call disconnect(red) button.

When kept on charging,it shows the red LED for a few seconds & then I find a black screen followed by battery symbol with lightnig symbol.

Please help me.

Re: Start up problem

Your battery is deeply discharged.

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the charging cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage). If it doesn't reboot on the first attempt, leave it several more hours. I've had one charge for two days before it came back to life after an extreme battery depletion. Every 3-4 hours, with the device still connected to the charger, you can remove and replace the battery to see if it reboots.

If it doesn't boot--try using another wall outlet charger or just another wall outlet. If you are connected via USB to the PC, make certain that you have Desktop Manager (or the USB device drivers) installed.
Make certain your USB cable is connected to one of the PC's main rear USB ports. Not a USB hub, nor a monitor USB port, nor a USB port on the front of the PC.

Finally, Here are some good charging tips, please read and you'll see that many of them will apply to you.

Re: Start up problem

Dear Sanders,

Thanks for the consideration & reply.

I am amazed to find that it takes such long time to charge this battery(Blackberry & RIM to take a note of the same).

Please suggest whether I can use a crocodile (fast)charger for the same.

Regards,

Jyotish
