Equipment: Blackberry Pearl; PC running Windows 7 and Outlook 2010; PC running Blackberry Desktop software 184.108.40.206.
I recently installed Apple's icloud on my PC, linking Outlook 2010 with my iPad. Prior to this I would sync my Blackberry with Outlook. Now that I have icloud installed, Outlook has another account, icloud.
I understand I can only sync one Outlook account with my Blackberry, via the Blackberry desktop software. I've gone into the Organizer> Configure settings> Advanced, and try to map the folder associated with icloud. When I go to click on the expand box (plus sign), I get an error box that comes up:
Error Encountered. Error code 0x80043bea. Check documentation
Please help. I have no way to now sync my blackberry with my other devices which are now sync'ed with Outlook via icloud.

The BlackBerry Desktop Software requires an Outlook data file stored on your PC to sync with. The Outlook plugin that you are using is enabling you to sync your Outlook with your web based calendar. It does not physically store that calendar on your PC (creating the Outlook data file) which the Desktop Software requires.
Hope this helps.

Frankie, you've described the problem and so it helps me understand why BB desktop software will not work-- is their a work around or a solution to the problem? I'd hate to abandon my BB because it can't work with the Outlook/Apple iCloud. I suspect Apple would be happy if I abondoned BB but i don't think BB wants to be left out of the info ecosystem going forward.
