Unidentified Subscriber, how to fix it?

I have been happily sending and receiving texts, I am with Vodaphone PAYG.  Last night and this morning attempts to send a text are met with a red cross and the words unidentified subscriber, at the bottom of my unsent message.

 

I am able to send and receive texts with Blackberry Messanger, but most texts I send are with vodaphone.

 

Does anyone have an answer to this please, as I feel awful not being able to reply to texts.

SMS is part of your voice-level services, not part of your data-level services. In any event, you need to talk to vodaphone about it.
