When I text it adds periods and caps

Can someone help me fix this it is driving me crazy.  As I type my text it randomly capitalizes letters (in the middle of words) and adds periods wherever it feels like adding them (making one word sentences if it wants to).  Any suggestions on how to fix this?  Thanks, Lisa

Hi and welcome to the forums! 

No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON.

Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed.

I am having the same problem with caps and perionds randomly inserting themselves. I cannot figure this out either. I have pulled the battery out several times, turned auto text off, text faster,text slower but nothing works. Any suggestions? I have the Tour model.

two spaces will make a period and capitolize the next character.
