calendar deletes old entries

Even though under general calendar options I checked "forever" for Keep Appointments, it has started to delete old ones. What to do?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Please go to options and then to status. Check the file free number

is it significantly below 15728640 bytes?

Besides calendar appointments are you losing text, emails, and call logs

sooner than usual?

If so you are experiencing memory problems.

See the attached link for the fix!

Thanks,

Re: calendar deletes old entries

I have gotten rid of media content.  Twice I uninstalled and reinstalled software both desk and device, which worked for several days, then begins deleting again.  Running 4.7 desktop now, which is much slower.  In addition. it won't reply to emails, I have to forward them.  "send" is not on the menu for replies.

Would like to delete other apps like my faves, handango, but they are not on the apps list

System is 4.3.0.115

130,000,00free file

I typically have 5-6 hundred emails per month, 2100 contacts.

what else can I do?

Hi and welcome to the forums,

You have 64 mb of total memory on your device. You sent that you have 12 mb ytes free.

15 mb free would be considered a minimum.

Most people close the applications by pressing the escape or red key. This does not close the applications.

Each application has a close option. For instance if you are in the calendar hit the menu key (spotted key) and scroll down to the bottom close is listed.

When done using the browser, press menu and options, select cache operations,

clear all categories and hit escape it will clean the browser cache.

Enable the memory clean option on the BB. Go to options, security, memory cleaning, enable it.

The BB will now clean memory when idle for 5 minutes.

Use the attached links to manage your memory efficiently.

Thanks,

Re: calendar deletes old entries

Hi,

I have been having problems with losing past calendar entries when I sync with Microsoft Outlook.  I have tried everything with no resolve.  As your e-mail indicated I checked the "Files Free" and I have 17959680, which means I should have sufficient memory, correct?  I've also checked my "General Calendar Options" and the setting for Keep Appointments if "Forever".  PLEASE HELP!!  I need to figure out how to keep past calendar entries once I sync.
