error message

Hi, I hope somebody can help me.  I have a Pearl 3G 9105 and I just connected it to the comp to check for updates and since then every time I press the 0 button (space button during txt messaging) I get a message that says

 'input system error.  The system is being restarted'

I have to wait for that to go before I can continue.  It means I cannot type the number zero either!  This phone is so frustrating!!

Any ideas?  I have tried turning it off, taking the battery out etc.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your BlackBerry® Pearl™ smartphone.

 

It sounds like you will need to reinstall your device software.

 

Backup your data to save it then follow the steps in KB11320 How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows.

 

Before you restore your data, try using the Zero key and ensure this error has been corrected.

 

Let me know how you make out and if the error persists.
