Re: how to restore

Hi there!

  • Take a full backup of your device.
  • Obtain, from whatever source you are desiring (normally, your carriers website) the download package for the version you desire.
  • Remove (add/remove programs) from your PC any currently installed device OS packages.
  • Install the recently downloaded one to your PC.
  • Tether and allow DTM to perform the downgrade.
  • Restore your data from the full backup taken earlier.

You can also see some excellent device OS instructions here:

Good luck and let us know!

OK...so, since you did not use any punctuation, I cannot tell if you are asking a question or simply making a statement. I'm going to guess at the latter, in which case I've already provided you in this thread what you need to accomplish that.

Good luck.

Re: how to restore

OK, I suggest the following steps

1) Register HRT

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > BBKey (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now

2) Resend Service Books

  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service

3) Batt Pull Reboot

  • Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you!
