Today I bought a Blackberry playbook and was looking forward to playing music on it for hours and hours,
but disappointingly I am unable to listen to some of my favorite song.
After adding all the songs I wanted to my Playbook some of the songs would not show up in the music folder on the actual playbook, however they seem to be in the music folder on the Playbook when looked at from my laptop, is there a way to get these specific song to show up on the playbook so I can enjoy listening to my favorite songs??
many thanks Todd Wren

What is the format of the songs in question? Here is a list of the supported audio formats, see page 5:

I have seen that the play book does take mp3 files but the songs I adding are mp3s but some do simply don't show up

Thats odd. Are the mp3s in question DRM protected? It not, have you restarted the playbook?
Playbook support may know something too: here is their number.

Are you using a mac or PC. Are the songs in question from itunes?

This is Interesting. Are you able to try this using wireless sync?

I'm thinking about having you to email a mp3 to me so I can try it on my PB.

Have you verified the format of the file in iTunes? I had the same problem (unable to see music files in the Playbook music player and my car would not recognize songs on my iPod downloaded from iTunes). I found that the format there isn't actually mp3. They're actually AAC files. If you think that may be the problem, select the option to show the file format on your song list in iTunes. Depending on the iTunes version you need to create an mpeg version of the file. I keep a Playlist of mpeg files readable on the playbook and my car, and create a version if I download from iTunes.
