Amazon PB sales

Does anybody else find it odd that Amazon starts shipping Playbooks tomorrow and still havent released a kindle app they told us they were making 4 months ago? I am hoping they release the app they day they start shipping to take advantage of the new users they can pick up.

Re: Amazon PB sales

I wonder if including a rival book reader (Kobo) as a pre-installed app caused or evidenced some bad blood between Amazon and RIM?

Re: Amazon PB sales

possible but there is just to much money for these corporations to pass up. They wont let bad blood reflect on profit margins. Maybe Amazon promised something they couldnt deliver or thought the android apps would be up and running.

Re: Amazon PB sales

That Amazon may be upset at RIM for releasing the PB with an ereader already installed and as an app you cant delete without it auto reinstalling. This made alot of people order books from KOBO they may have otherwise ordered from Amazon. Seems awfully petty for big business but who will ever know.

Re: bad blood

If you check the U.S. site, the units must be in limited supply. There was only 3 available and some users reported getting out of stock message.
