Hi everybody.
Il have bought a playbook 32 gb three weeks ago. Since I updated the OS to 2.1 I noticed an annoying lag when trying to edit or delete a keyword or a phrase in the browser search box. When I click on the backwards button, sometimes it lags. And sometimes it generates new letters instead of deleting them.
Any ideas?

Browser experience hugely depends on the WiFi quality.
In one part of my house, my WiFi signal got squash by next door neighbour's WiFi.
The problem is there is not a regulation on WiFi signal so people blast at maximum power level. There are also limited spectrum as well. So in a crowded area where a number of WiFis operate, signal gets interference.

Thanks for your reply beavertail
Actually I'm experiencing lags when typing in the Google search field. It's not the browser that is lagging

Do you have many browser windows? Also do you have many other apps open?
I check the free memory in slow situation like that. Often I will find I have just 100 MB left. I get the info from Tool -> About -> Hardware.
I found browser app can chew up more than half of the available memory on its own. So I am careful to close unnecessary tabs.
Please let me know if this help.

Sorry for the delayed reply.
I checked the memory available before and after the browser is opened. Before the available memory is around 500 - 540 mb. And once the browser is opened it drops sometimes to 400 - 380 mb. Which is huge in my opinion for just one thread.
But the problem is still the same whether there is only one page or multiple pages. The lag exists only when i type in the google search box .

I can reproduce the lag you talk about when the memory is down near 100MB when multiple tabs and applications are running. The lag goes away for me after I close out others and free some memory up.
I never see it around 300MB.
