Anyone having success after installing the new bridge software on both the Torch and the Playbook? Everything is functional EXCEPT the BBM. I tested it with a friends bold and it works fine.
I followed some online forums about uninstalling the bridge software, rebooting both devices, reinstalling the software, repairing the bluetooth and waiting 5 minutes but that doesn't work.
Any help would be appreciated.

i had to do an update on the torch as i found out by reading in some other forums in order for the new bbm would work. i have no issues and have been using it ever since. Go into options on phone...device...and look for software updates...from there it should prompt you...let me know if this helped.

i am having the exact same problems and its very frustrating but i have figured out a way....it works but it sometimes doesnt.. i uninstall blackberry messenger and the bridge from my phone and then reinstall it from App world on my phone.....BBM seems to work after that
you can give it a try and see how it goes for you
I was wondering if anyone is having a problem connecting their playbook to their computers after the update?

After being unable to get this working, I ended up calling the support line. Here is what they told me and it worked.
1. Unpair the devices
2. Uninstall the BB Bridge software
3. Uninstall BBM from my phone
4. Reboot both devices
5. Install the BB Bridge software
6. Pair the devices
7. Install BBM on the Torch
8. Bridge the device
The key was making sure you installed the BBM AFTER the BB Bridge software.
