My playbook battery has died. I tried all kind of tricks to bring it back (plug and unplug almost 30 times in a row for example), connect it to the computer, resetting (about 20 times probably, when it was plugged it, when it wasn't).
Now after the red light, there is a green light which keeps on flashing.
Try to switch it on, the message with Battery critical low level and connect to a power source comes on.
Have you got any suggestions? Please help??? Much appreciated

Your PlayBook is at a very low battery level. It simply needs charging for a LONG period of time, several hours, maybe 24 hours, with a known good RIM OEM Playbook wall outlet charger.

Yeah, thanks for the reply. Managed to revive it eventually. But everything I had on my playbook is lost. What a dissapointment. Waste of money.

What did you do to revive it?
What all data was lost?

Everything I had. Photos, apps, documents, all gone.
To revive it, I have spent the last 5 hours plugging it, unplugging it, resetting it, following whatever tips I could find on the forums. After doing that, I just switch it on and it was 18% charged so I kept on doing that until I was able to install the updates. But it was exactly as if I just bought it. Everything I had on it was lost.

So what you did was what is referred to a "debrick" or complete device wipe and OS reload.
Have you EVERY backed up your Playbook to the PC before using the Desktop Software? If so, you can restore that data.

Will do that from now on. I only used my PlayBook for 2 weeks before this happened. Then I thought it was a factory problem, so I wanted to give it back, I didn't know it was a very common problem. From now on I will make sure I keep my PlayBook charged so I don't have to spend again so much time on reviving it. I was disappointed to find myself in this situation, but it's all sorted now so I will be more careful in the future. Thank you for all the help.
